This is a great nutritious & tasty snack that kids love too. Once you have mastered the recipe you can experiment with different flavours. Kale is rich in folate which is vital for healthy DNA, nervous system, detoxification, energy production amongst many more functions.

If you can't get hold of organic kale then make sure to wash well in a solution of vinegar and water.

Enjoy!

Ingredients

200g Kale (destalked and roughly chopped)

15ml Olive Oil

2g Sea or Himalyan Rock Salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 200c.

Line a baking pan with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, massage the kale with olive oil and salt.

Add to the baking pan.

The kale does not need to be in a single layer but will be extra crispy if you have a large enough pan to do this

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes or until edges are crispy. Remove from oven, plate and enjoy!

More flavour

Sprinkle kale with black pepper and/or red pepper flakes after you remove it from the oven. Nutritional yeast is nice sprinkled over it to give it a cheesy flavour too.
